For periodic maintenance and upkeep of highways, PR (Periodical Renewal) and SR(special Repair) work are taken up with the allocated fund of MoRT&H.PR works are taken up every three (3) years for a particular stretch of NH and the sanction is valid for a single year only within which the fund must be utilized.In addition to the above, MoRT&H Govt. of India  reimburses fund utilized by State Govt. under OR(Ordinary Repair) and FDR (Flood Damage Repair).
